Job Description:Role Profile

Reports to: Head of Infrastructure, Network and Cyber Security

Key Relationships: Digital Transformation and Tech, Retail, Facilities, 3rd Party Partners

Location: Piccadilly, with occasional travel to all sites

Role Purpose

This role offers a strategic position within infrastructure and security, focusing on advanced technical solutions and long-term security strategies across cloud, on-premises servers, networking, storage, security, and backup systems. You will provide 2nd and 3rd line support, ensuring a secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure. The role involves advancing Zero Trust architecture, cyber resilience, and cloud security, along with collaborating across teams to drive innovation and security improvements.

Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical improvements and ensure system security and resilience.
  • Maintain and optimize hardware, virtual environments, and Microsoft services.
  • Manage network security and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Design secure device imaging and manage security tools and incident response.
  • Create documentation and plan disaster recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with support and transformation teams to ensure infrastructure performance and security.
  • Document procedures and standards clearly for team use.
  • Embed strategic infrastructure objectives into operational workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and promote a security-first culture.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Microsoft infrastructure expertise, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
  • Networking experience with Cisco devices.
  • SQL Server administration and virtualization skills.
  • Scripting, hardware, IAM, cloud security, threat protection, patch management, backup, and monitoring experience.
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft certifications, and Azure Security certifications are preferred.
