Infrastructure & Security Engineer – East London | Up to £65,000- £75,000

Hybrid (4 days on site per-week)

VIQUhas partnered with a prestigious events venue inCentral Londonto recruit a talentedInfrastructure & Security Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping and securing the venue’s technical landscape, as they continue their digital transformation journey.

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on engineer who candesign, maintain and develop complex, secure infrastructure solutions, while acting as a senior technical authority across both projects and operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments (primarily Azure).
  • Lead migrations from on-prem/hybrid infrastructure to the cloud.
  • Ensure alignment withISO27001and other compliance standards.
  • Administer and deployMicrosoft IntuneandEndpoint Deployment Services.
  • Oversee and support technologies such asO365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, DefenderandAzure Cloud Services.
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor to theService Desk.
  • Collaborate withSOC and NOC teamsto manage security operations and incident response.
  • Implement and manageEUC (virtual desktop)environments.
  • Maintain, recycle and re-architect hardware and infrastructure components.
  • Deliver automation and scripting tasks for improved efficiency.
  • SupportAWS Cloud Servicesand assist in MS Business project delivery. (desired)
  • Configure and troubleshoot network components (Firewall, DNS, DHCP, 802.1x).
  • Provide 3rd-line administrative support.
  • Document and maintain IT operational procedures and policies.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum5 years’ experiencein senior-level technical support/infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge ofAzure,Intune,365, and endpoint security.
  • Moving Hyper V/ VMware to Azure.
  • Confident in managing hybrid environments and cloud migrations.
  • Understanding ofnetworking protocols, firewalls, and cloud security best practices.
  • Proficiency inmacOSand Windows endpoint environments.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset.
