Are you ready to play a pivotal role in delivering and improving IT services within a dynamic business environment? We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to provide comprehensive support across our clients organisation, ensuring delivery of reliable and effective IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver group-wide IT services, maintaining agreed service levels and prioritising responses for optimal business support.

  • Act as an escalation point for service desk analysts and business users, providing timely solutions and minimising repeat issues by analysing trends and behaviours.

  • Define, document, and evolve service processes, the Service Catalogue, and SLAs, ensuring alignment with best practice and IT policies.

  • Provide expert desktop and server support, including hardware configuration, upgrades, and installation of new service packs or software.

  • Manage routine repairs, upgrades and effectively respond to system faults or failures, ensuring these are documented and escalated appropriately.

  • Keep the asset management database accurate and up to date.

  • Monitor system performance and report on service delivery metrics, exploring opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Support the management and maintenance of distributed IT equipment and infrastructure, ensuring it meets evolving business requirements.

  • Log and update service desk calls promptly, ensuring regular, clear communication with users.

  • Provide meeting room technology support and education for end users.

  • Ensure adherence to IT service controls, regulatory standards, and organisational policies.

  • Collaborate with all IT teams to ensure the successful implementation and documentation of new or updated services.

  • Undertake ad hoc projects and departmental duties as required.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent customer service skills and a drive to satisfy IT service users.

  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, accessible language.

  • Strong decision-making skills, with a focus on developing timely and effective solutions.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Analytical skills for diagnosing, testing, and implementing solutions in line with best practice.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Technical Proficiency

  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra.

  • Experience in group policy implementation and administration.

  • Proven track record with IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

  • Network management (including TCP/IP, DNS), server/hardware maintenance, and workstation deployment.

  • Familiarity with automated deployment tools and IT service management frameworks.
