Last year we helped more than42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paidover £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild theirlives.The Security Operations Manager is pivotal in strengtheningour security frameworks, ensuring compliance with industrystandards, and proactively mitigating risks to protect our assetsand reputation. In this role you/'ll encompass the oversight ofSecurity Operations and Security Engineering, management ofincident response, and leadership of a dedicated team of securityexperts to ensure the highest level of protection MIB in additionto collaborating closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams,demonstrating strong leadership to drive security initiatives andfoster a culture of security awareness across MIB.KeyOutputsSecurity Operations Oversight Oversee daily securityoperations, including monitoring, threat analysis, andvulnerability management, with regular oversight by and reportingto the Head of Information Security and Executive Security SteeringGroupCompliance and Risk Management Working with Group PrivacyOffice, Risk and Audit functions to ensure compliance withregulatory requirements and industry standards. Supporting the Headof Information Security in conducting regular risk assessments.Ensuring that information security controls map to risk appetiteand requirementsStrategic Planning Support the Head of InformationSecurity on the development and implementation of strategicsecurity plans to enhance MIB/'s security posture andresilienceOperational Resilience Identify within SecurityOperations and support the business on our Operational ResilienceeffortsIncident Response Management: Lead and coordinate from aSecurity perspective incident response efforts, ensuring timely andeffective resolution of security incidentsBudget Management TheSecurity Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supportingthe Head of Information Security to effectively manage the securitybudget. This includes resources management, identifying cost-savingopportunities, managing vendor relationships, aligned with MIB/'slong-term security goalsRelationshipsQualifications andEducationSkills and KnowledgeProven experience in leading,managing, and developing Security Operations and SecurityEngineering teams. This includes the ability to mentor and guideteam members, fostering a collaborative and high-performanceenvironmentExperience in budget management and control Extensiveexperience in security incident response leadership.
