Head of Supply Chain - Construction & Regeneration Main Contractor
National Role - Home Based (Hybrid)

We are partnering with a leading construction and infrastructure main contractor to recruit a Head of Supply Chain and Procurement. This pivotal role will shape and drive the company-wide supply chain strategy, covering all areas of expenditure, including materials, subcontracting, indirect spending, and fleet management. Leading a structured team of regional supply chain managers and coordinators, you will ensure a high-performing supply chain is developed and aligned with business strategy and future growth.

Managing a £130m spend across multiple categories and over 1,000 supply chain partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services across sectors such as social housing, healthcare, education, and commercial projects. This is a home-based national role, requiring travel to regional offices as needed.

Head of Supply Chain - Responsibilities

Lead a team of supply chain professionals and collaborate with operational teams to develop a business-wide supply chain strategy that maximises opportunities and mitigates risks.
Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain governance and transparency.
Develop and champion a sustainability strategy, ensuring the supply chain supports the company's carbon reduction goals.
Maintain a deep understanding of external markets, working closely with supply chain partners to drive performance, innovation, and competitive advantage.
Ensure health & safety standards are understood and maintained across all supply chain operations.
Oversee the management of a large van fleet and salary sacrifice car scheme, ensuring optimal operational performance and colleague experience.Head of Supply Chain - Experience Required

Proven success in the construction, maintenance, and infrastructure sectors.
Expert knowledge in supply chain and procurement, with a strong commercial focus.
Leadership experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships both internally and externally.
