Purpose of Job

To provide an efficient and effective grounds maintenance support to the site, ensuring the overall appearance of the grounds are maintained to the manicured show standards required.

Working in a structured team of grounds persons, delivering the full scope or works through the various seasons.

Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by management are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Always maintain the professional image of CBRE.

  2. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all CBRE employees and clients' representatives.

  3. Ensure that Planned Preventative Grounds and Horticultural Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices. Inclusive of Winter Contingency and associated gritting.

  4. Grass cutting using tractor with attachments, petrol lawnmowers and strimmer - traffic / personnel control.

  5. Weed control - spot spraying.

  6. To clear litter, leaves and debris from around the site, and clean up spillages as required.

  7. Low level Tree pruning as necessary.

  8. Identify any defects found to Line Manager.

  9. Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by Line Manager.

  10. To ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris.

  11. To dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required.

  12. To occasionally undertake porterage tasks as required, deliveries etc.

  13. To undertake handypersons duties as directed by management as outlined below:

    Painting - as required.

  14. To maintain appropriate records for QHSE logbooks.

  15. To assist and host where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as

    Contractors.

  16. To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation, and NMS policies.

  17. Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

    Attributes

    Knowledge of Grounds maintenance

    Time management skills, organisational skills and ability to prioritise.

    Ability to communicate to a diverse range of people verbally and in writing (Personable and approachable)

    Ability to work on own initiative.

    Ability to follow schedules and planned grounds maintenance tasks.

    Work as part of a team

    Flexible approach to work and flexible hours (seasonable)

    May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.

    Required Skills

    Lanta or similar qualifications needed in sit on mowers, tractors, strimmer's, hedge cutters.

    Licence for pesticide spraying

    Licenced for trailer towing.

    Valid current driving licence
