Job description

We look forward to reading your application for the role of Force Incident Manager Course Lead.

The selected candidate will support delivery for the College of Policing�s Force Incident Managers (FIM) Course. They will ensure the material is regularly reviewed for currency taking in learning gained nationally. And maintain an operational currency as a FIM in the host force.

Person specification

Some of your responsibilities will include:
� � �Working in partnership with key stakeholders, including the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) leads and Policing Standards Managers, to set the priorities for the FIM course, working with advisory groups, and taking the chair of, and / or active participation in, relevant working groups.
� � �Planning, promoting and leading the high-quality delivery of FIM courses to agreed quantitative and qualitative specifications and KPIs, deploying in-service associates and Subject Matter Experts where appropriate, to optimise cost-efficient delivery against demand, and taking remedial action as needed based on quality assurance trends.
� � �Delivering and assessing learning and development interventions to agreed content and assessment specifications within a safe learning environment, adapting teaching and materials to meet individual student�s abilities, levels of understanding and learning styles, to ensure all students receive a consistent, high quality learning intervention which addresses their development needs.

To be successful in this role you�ll need:
� � �To be an occupationally and operationally competent Force Incident Manager.
� � �Demonstrable experience of the management of force daily business including critical and / or major incidents.
� � �Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex and specialist concepts on an individual and group basis to account for learners' preferred learning styles.
