Fire & Security Engineer | Covering Essex, Suffolk, Herts, London | Full Time | £30,000 - £40,000 base salary plus bonuses

Established in 1961, our client is a privately owned specialist security company. They are looking to recruit a new Security and Fire Engineer to carry out various installations, servicing, repairs, and reactive maintenance on Security Systems, Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems.

This is an ideal opportunity for those who are looking to join a growing company that can offer a positive environment.

Please note- This role will be based in Essex but may need to travel to surrounding counties.

Are you the right person for the job?


  • Proven experience in both security and fire system installations
  • A full UK driving license is essential
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good communication skills for liaising with office staff, managers, and clients
  • Advanced skills in commissioning and system design are a plus
  • Commissioning experience preferred but not essential


What will your role look like?


  • Install and maintain Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Emergency Lighting, and related safety systems
  • Carry out small works and repairs to complete systems
  • Ensure compliance with the latest British Standards
  • Provide accurate documentation and reports
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults efficiently
