Due to continued growth of the company, we are looking for a further Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an exciting role to join a rapidly expanding company, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire & Security Engineer with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire safety systems and engineering principles, with the ability to maintain, install, and commission fire protection systems. This role requires proficiency in electrical and electronic systems, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Fire & Security Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and enhancing the overall safety of our customer’s facilities. You will report to the Director and be responsible for the maintenance of Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Smoke Vents, Fire Extinguishers, Intruder Alarms & CCTV around Devon on a wide variety of customer’s sites. You may be required to travel to and from our head office within St Austell, Cornwall for staff meetings and/or training as required.

Reporting to: (Supervisor/manager) Ollie Blackler - Director

Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm – 40 hours per week. There is a requirement to participate in the company out of hours call out rota.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintenance, installation and commissioning of various fire and security systems at customer’s premises. • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with fire alarm and security systems.

• Maintenance and installation of emergency lighting systems.

• Maintenance of fire extinguishers.

• Provide technical support to customers as needed.

• Attending call outs and being part of the on call rota for the region.

• Carrying out the required certification and documentation associated with the role.

• Visiting clients' properties, both residential and commercial.

• Other office or field duties as deemed acceptable by your line manager or employer.

• Other duties may include whole staff meetings and liaising with other engineers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum experience of 3 years in Fire & Security Engineering

• Knowledge of fire alarm and/or security system installation techniques, equipment, and tools.

• Knowledge of emergency lighting systems installation and maintenance.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Full UK driver's license.
