Fire and Security Engineer | Central South Coast (Hampshire, Sussex, and surrounding areas) | Full-Time, Permanent | £32,000 - £41,000Established in 1979, our client is a trusted provider of tailored security solutions, delivering high-quality installations and maintenance services for Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, and Door Entry Systems. With a reputation for excellence, they serve the South Coast of the UK and beyond, offering their clients reliable systems at competitive prices.They are currently seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join their team in Portsmouth. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and fault finding on Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, and Door Entry Systems across the Central South Coast.You'll work both independently and as part of a dynamic team, ensuring that clients receive fantastic service and support.Are you the right person for the job?Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role (Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Door Entry Systems)Fire Alarm qualifications or relevant experience preferredA full UK driving licenceElectrical installation knowledge and IPAF/PASMA certification are advantageous but not essentialElectrical experience is desirable, particularly 18th edition (not essential)Able to work well both independently and with a teamWhat will your role look like?Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, and Door Entry SystemsCollaborate with a team, while also having the confidence to work independently on various projectsDeliver excellent customer service while covering Hampshire, Sussex, and the surrounding areasParticipate in an on-call rota system to provide out-of-hours emergency support (compensated overtime)What can you expect in return?Competitive salary and compensation for call out: standing charge for being on call and overtime payment door to door when called out.Fully equipped company van with fuel card, mobile phone, and necessary tools providedOngoing training and development opportunities, including Fire Alarm courses through the FIA and supplier-led training on Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access ControlOpportunity to broaden your skills in areas where you may need additional experienceFull PPE supplied and support from an experienced teamWhat's next?
