Client: Following the recent appointment of a standout Operations Director (ex Dornan Engineering) my client has seen a significant period of growth within the healthcare, education and commercial sectors. The business boasts an enviable track record and they have made significant investment in London over the last 5 years. Their current turnover sits at £55m per annum and they have a full order book for this and next year. Following recent restructure and growth, my client has had a complete revamp seeing turnover increase by 33% in the past year. Given the new senior leadership team, they expect the next 5 years to be similar in terms of growth and profits.

Role: Electrical Project Engineer - £75,000 - £85,000 + Travel + Healthcare + Pension + Other Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications

  • Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant

  • Value Engineering

  • Assist with management of design stage

  • Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.

  • Coordination and management of electrical, mechanical and specialist subcontractors

  • Instruct and coordinate supervisors

  • Progress reporting

  • Overseeing commissioning and testing

  • Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts overseeing, including sub-contractor accounts and variations.

  • Preparation of OMs for final project handover

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within the Labs, Healthcare, Data centre or Office sector

  • Experience in a role Project Engineering role

  • Experience working with main contractors such as: McLaren, Mace, Kier, John Sisk, Elmers or McLoughlin & Harvey.
