Our client is looking to recruit a 'Director of IT & Digital Transformation' for a 6 month FTC ( possible extension)

As the Director of IT & Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for devising and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the vision and values of the organisation. The strategy will be produced by analysing existing systems and determining the technologies required.

You will oversee the IT service and accelerate digital innovation across the whole organisation.

Here is an overview of specific objectives:

  • Identifying and evaluating the latest technologies.

  • Collaborating closely with senior leadership, team leaders and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and drive technology-enabled initiatives.

  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Accelerating innovation initiatives to enhance services and processes.

  • Managing relationships with technology suppliers and partners, evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions and services.

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology systems, software solutions and infrastructure.

    Qualifications and Skills

    IT and Technology Knowledge: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), PMP (Project Management Professional), AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

    IT Management: Proven success in managing IT infrastructure, IT budgets, software development and systems architecture, in a senior technology leadership role.

    IT and Technology Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, emerging technologies, technology trends, best practices and the technology landscape. Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity best practices. Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.

    Digital Transformation: Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing data-driven decision-making. A proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with organisational objectives.

    Strategic Leadership: Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate organisational goals into effective technology strategies.

    Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

    Stakeholder Management: The ability to collaborate with various teams, colleagues, and stakeholders to understand their needs and align IT with business objectives.

    Budget Management: Experience in managing the IT budget to ensure cost-effective and efficient resource allocation.

    Project Management: Strong project management skills to successfully plan, execute, and deliver IT and digital transformation projects
