DevSecOps Engineer

This role will require DV Clearance eventually, therefore I’m afraid we can only accept applications from UK Nationals and ideally those with SC Clearance.

The Client:

Our clients are a leading Consultancy with some large scale Government, Infrastrucure and Defence Contracts. They’re known for looking after their staff and providing an excellent working environment with sound prospects, training and development and a hybrid working environment – for this role you’ll need to be flexible to be in Cambridge a few days a week, potentially other client sites and the rest of the time wfh. The role:

As a DevSecOps Engineer you will join an advanced team at the intersection of UK Defence, national security, and next-generation data sharing platforms. You'll play a vital role in shaping and securing systems that underpin some of the most critical information infrastructures in the UK. We’re looking for a skilled individual to help design, build, and safeguard the digital backbone of national defence and secure data sharing.

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of innovation—bringing together software engineering, cybersecurity, and DevOps to deliver systems that are secure by design. You'll collaborate with mission-driven teams to create scalable, resilient platforms that support some of the UK's most critical operations.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in DevOps practices with a security-first mindset
Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ideally in a secure or classified environment
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Podman) and securing container workflows
Experience with tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, SonarQube, Snyk, JFrog Artifactory, Visual Studio, or equivalent
Desirable experience with NUTANIX, VMWare ESXi, IBM Doors, MATLAB, Eggplant
Knowledge of key compliance frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, or MOD JSP604/JSP440

Process:

The interview process will be 2 x fold with Technical & Competency-based interviews conducted mainly across Teams. We’re looking for someone to join as soon as possible, though we’re happy to wait OR expedite for the right person.
