Join us to build a career as a professional Design Manager, while helping us to make a sustainable difference, and shape the future of our business.

Working as a Design Manager, you will be working across our Nuclear New Build business, either leading the delivery of Atkins engineering projects or embedded into our clients' programmes. As we support our clients you will be expected to travel and work from client sites across the UK as the role, project or secondment requires.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the industry as we engineer a cleaner, zero-carbon future for our planet.

You must be able to appreciate the practical and technical issues that affect a project and to work constructively with a broad range of stakeholders and project teams that are either local to you or distributed across multiple sites.

Typically, the role and responsibilities of an Atkins Design Manager will include:

  • Open to UK travel and flexible working hours, including occasional out-of-hours work, to meet project and client requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project risks, scope changes, and complex dynamics.
