  • This is a full-time position working 37 hours a week over 5 days

    Join Our Team as a Deputy Fleet Systems Manager based at One Stratford Place with the option to work hybrid.

    The Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering team for a Deputy Fleet Systems Engineer. In this role, you will support the smooth operation of our engineering directorate’s information systems, learning and developing under the guidance of our current Fleet Systems Engineer. This role is a structured, progressive role, where you will be developed on a 2-year plan under the current Fleet Systems Engineer. Your focus will be on system maintenance, reducing system complexity and duplication, and increasing workflow automation and productivity.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering Engineering directorate information systems.

  • Collaborate on improvements and enhancements to IT systems.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for business process improvements.

  • Monitor system performance and report on efficiency and reliability.

  • Develop technical skills and knowledge with ongoing training.

  • Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively

  • We are looking for someone eager to learn, an effective presenter and communicator, capable of writing code, scripts, processes and procedures. Basic understanding of engineering principles and operational railway knowledge is also required.

  • Possess a “can-do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team

  • Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment.

  • Be an ambitious systems thinker with the ability to streamline processes and information.
