Role: Cyber Security Technical Specialist

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Location: Hybrid/Kings Hill

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Technical Specialist to join our dynamic Cyber Security Operations team at Cantium Business Solutions. In this critical role, you will provide expert-level technical support and leadership to enhance our security posture, ensuring the safety of our clients and their information technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as an escalation point for security alerts, incidents, and requests, managing and minimizing threats and vulnerabilities.

Lead investigations into high-priority incidents, documenting findings, and driving timely resolutions.

Fine-tune security tools (e.g., SIEM, Darktrace) to enhance detection, response, and threat management.

Support continuous improvements in security tooling, processes, and automation.

Collaborate on large-scale infrastructure changes, ensuring technical solutions align with industry best practices and security frameworks.

Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Contribute to the development of Playbooks, automated responses, and the overall Cyber Security Team strategy.

Assist with customer account management, ensuring that security solutions meet the needs of our clients.
What We Need:

A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or a related field.

Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-500, SSCP, AZ-500, or equivalent).

3+ years of experience in Cyber Security, preferably in a SOC or CSIRT environment.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Security Products (E5, Sentinel), Identity and Access Management, and security monitoring tools

Knowledge of Microsoft Purview Compliance Solutions, including DLP, Insider Risk Management, and Information Protection.

Proven ability to design, implement, and manage security solutions in an enterprise environment.

Expertise in network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.

Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Logic Apps).
