As ourSecurity Engineer, you'll be at the frontline of our cyber defence, working closely with theSecurity Operations Managerto monitor, maintain and enhance our security tools and services. You'll collaborate with external security providers, including our 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), responding to security alerts and ensuring threats are identified and addressed promptly.


Your expertise will help us stay ahead of emerging security risks. From managing security controls to running vulnerability scans and analysing threats, your role will be integral in keeping our systems protected. You’ll also work alongside our IT teams, ensuring that security best practices are embedded across all projects and changes.

About You


You’ll have experience working in cyber security, system engineering, or a similar role, with hands-on knowledge of security tools such asanti-malware, content filtering, SIEM and threat detection solutions. A strong understanding ofWindows OS, Linux, and MacOSis essential, along with experience working withtechnology suppliers and outsourced services.


You should have or be working towards professional security and technical certifications such asCISSP, CISA, CCNA, SSCP, CEH, or CREST CPSA/CRT, GIAC. Knowledge of Microsoft security suite, vulnerability scanning, working knowledge of network infrastructure or scripting languages like Python and PowerShell would be advantageous.


More than just technical skills, we're looking for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and able toadapt quickly to emerging threats. You’ll have the confidence to suggest improvements, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

This role will be based in Northern Ireland. We support hybrid and home-based working arrangements, so you have flexibility to work in a way that’s best for you. We value in-person collaboration with our teams and those we support therefore occasional travel to Belfast and UK sites is required.

You’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
