Cyber Security Engineer

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£50,378 - £53,029 per year

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer with experience of anaylsing security systems, to join our Cyber Security team which is a team of 6 people and forms part of the larger Technology Security team at our head office in Worcester.

 

As part of the Cyber Security team, you will safeguard corporate data and infrastructure from threats by collaborating across the Cyber organisation.

 

The role of Cyber Security Engineer will include:

  • Offering technical expertise and analysis on security systems and architectures
  • Providing guidance on network, application, cloud, and enterprise security controls and administering and configuring various security tools
  • Ensuring technology systems are secure and robust, including monitoring and responding to security events
  • investigating root causes, and staying updated on current trends and technologies

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience supporting and developing cyber security in a large organisation
  • CISM, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP
  • SC-900, SC-200, MS-100
  • Significant experience in the Microsoft Security stack
  • Experience in email and web hygiene technologies
  • Experience investigating and managing security incidents, including SIEM
  • Comprehensive experience of supporting the management of medium to large scale infrastructure related projects
  • Comprehensive experience of managing incidents and problem resolution
  • Proven understanding of cyber threat hunting, attack vectors, techniques, mitigation and detection
  • Previous experience of managing people
  • Excellent organisational, project management and planning skills
