We are seeking a highly skilledCyber Security Consultantto join our dynamic team working within the UK Defence sector. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive information, systems, and networks against evolving cyber threats. Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced cyber security strategies, frameworks, and policies tailored to meet UK Defence requirements.
  • Identify, monitor, and respond to cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring robust protection of classified and sensitive data.
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to evaluate and enhance system security.
  • Lead investigations into security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design secure systems, networks, and software solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NCSC guidelines, ISO 27001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials, MOD policies).
  • Deliver regular security briefings and training sessions to build a culture of cyber security awareness across the organisation.
  • Liaise with government bodies, intelligence agencies, and industry partners to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of secure cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a cyber security role, preferably within the defence, government, or highly regulated sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and encryption techniques.
  • Proficiency in cyber threat intelligence and familiarity with advanced threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Expertise in secure system architecture and network design principles.
  • Experience with incident response, digital forensics, and malware analysis.
  • Strong understanding of risk management methodologies and regulatory frameworks relevant to UK Defence.
  • Familiarity with defence-grade certifications and security clearance processes (e.g., SC, DV).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC are highly desirable.
