The Role

As aCyber Incident Response Consultant,you will be working with the existing security team to support the customer with monitoring alerts and threats received. You will also be responsible for front-ending in event of any cyber incident.


Key responsibilities:

  • Act swiftly to contain and mitigate cyber incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, data breaches, and unauthorized access events.
  • Conduct systems analysis and forensic analysis (subject to appropriate tooling availability, e.g., CADO software) to trace the origin of incidents, assess the scope of the damage, and identify affected systems and data.
  • Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques specific to the retail sector.
  • Coordinate with business management and business users, internal IT teams, legal departments, and third-party vendors to ensure an effective response to incidents.
  • Escalate major security incidents and breaches to the CISO organization and engage external IR services (based on retained services available).
  • Document incidents comprehensively, including actions taken, lessons learned, and recommendations for future preventative measures.


Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Strong ownership and decisiveness in incident handling.
  • Analytical thinker with sound judgement under pressure.
  • Detail oriented with clear and structured reporting skills.


Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Skilled in SOC environments.
  • Hands on experience with Incident Response processes.
