Role:Cybersecurity Analyst

Location:Blackburn, BB1 2FA (Location subject to change due to planned Northwest office relocation)

Contract:Full-Time / Permanent / Office Based

Salary:£30,000 - £40,000 (Dependant on experience)

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at EG Group, you will be responsible for monitoring and triaging alerts escalated from partners and wider internal teams. You must have working experience of incident response and end-to-end security processes and procedures.


You will provide a comprehensive range of technical, operational, and risk management services. By working closely with our global teams, you will ensure adherence to industry standards, policies, and procedures, and proactively address emerging threats. This role plays a critical part in advancing a variety of security improvement initiatives.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Manage daily monitoring and review of security incidents, ensuring proper logging and escalation.
  • Lead remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities, collaborating with other technology teams.
  • Remediate incidents escalated from tier 1 SOC analysts.
  • Assess the scope and impact of the attacks on affected systems and networks.
  • Conduct incident response activities using IOCs to identify and contain threats.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.
  • Maintain and tune XDE/MDR/EDR and supporting tools.
  • Tracking the deployment and health of all rolled-out security products in the business.

What we’re looking for:


  • 2+ years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst in a SOC environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, XDR/MDR/EDR or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Problem-solving skills with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
