As the primary overseer of our cloud infrastructure and security controls, you will ensure their quality, reliability, and scalability while guiding their evolution and integration into Fourth’s multi-cloud landscape. You will work hand-in-hand with teams of experienced cloud and software engineers, providing architectural rigor, a security-first mindset, and a drive for improvement. As the cloud and security architect, you will collaborate with your teammates in architecture and your partners in engineering to support their requirements, leverage their expertise, and drive the overall cloud and security architecture of the organization. 

The role . . .

Create, communicate, and execute the cloud and security strategy and architecture for the organization.  Manage and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our cloud landscape.  Architecturally lead and mentor on cloud and security practices, providing guidance, feedback, and a transformative momentum towards a cloud-first and security-first engineering approach.  Define and enforce best practice architectural patterns and standards.  Work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to understand their cloud and security needs and provide architectural solutions.  Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the cloud and security domain.  Support and collaborate with cloud engineering and security teams to leverage their expertise and assets. 

The ideal candidate . . .

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Security related qualifications very desirable. At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and security. Proficient in cloud technologies and services, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Experience with cloud security measures and best practices. Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to document and communicate complex solutions. Ability to lead and manage projects and teams in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of scripting and programming languages. Solid understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle. Experience and mindset for automating infrastructure and security automation.
