About the role:

 

As aCiena Technical Presales Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting our European business to technically enable and grow our partners. Working internally with our European sales teams across multiple countries and externally with our partner community in engaging the partner community to accelerate business through the provision and application of technical expertise across the Ciena network stack.

 

What you'll do:

As a member of theCoE Networking & Security,you will be responsible for the technical go to market for Ciena:

  • Achieve Ciena training curriculum and achieve needed certifications to provide expertise onCiena solutions.

  • Collaborate and align with COE colleagues, Ciena in countries resources and Ciena tounderstand the technical business requirement and growth initiativesto propose & support the relevant Ciena solutions.

  • Respond to technical solution inquiries predominately internal business function but also external partners.

  • Lead and support Ciena solutions by building the solution use cases tosupport Demos, Proof of Concepts and Partner Enablement.

  • Evangelizing Ciena Partner Community on Ciena technology, product & solutions. Provide thought leadership.

  • Leading educational technicalwebinars& providing demo capabilities / assistance.

  • Support complex, high value sales opportunities and participate in pre-sales activities(design, sizing, project scoping, etc.)to accelerate wins.

  • Delivertechnical led presentationsto internal & external audiences.

  • Visit Partners onsite with a specific focus on UK & Ireland based Partners.

  

What we're kindly looking for:

  •  Ideally5+ yearsof relevant experience in Networking area

  • Strong hands-on experience withrelevant certificationsin Networking domain (Ciena desirable but not mandatory).

  • Comprehensiveknowledge on networking architectures, design, operations and troubleshoot.

  • Ability toconductproduct demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, and present to business and technical users.

  • Ability toarticulate technical or operational problemsor issues into simple understandable business terms.

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and result oriented.

  • High level of Englishand as you will have to communicate with many different countries all around Europe.

  • Additional European languages to have local language exchanges with our Country and Partners would be an appreciated additive value.
