Business Process / Continuity Manager – 3 Month Contract

Location: Cardiff – 4 days per week onsite initially

Rate: £350-£450 per day

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

A leading client of ours is seeking an experienced Business Process /Continuity Manager to join their team on a 3-month interim basis. This role is perfect for a professional with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimising business processes, with a strong emphasis on backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development & Implementation:

Develop, review, and update key business policies including back-up procedures, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity protocols.

Ensure all policies are aligned with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and business continuity objectives.

Process Analysis & Improvement:

Assess current business processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies.

Implement process improvements to enhance operational resilience and security.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to perform risk assessments and ensure policies adequately mitigate potential threats.

Monitor and enforce compliance with established policies across the organisation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of business process improvements.

Lead training sessions and workshops to promote policy awareness and adherence throughout the organisation.

Continuous Monitoring & Reporting:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of implemented policies.

Provide regular status updates and process reviews to senior management.

Key Requirements

Experience:

3+ years’ experience in business process management, preferably within an IT or technical environment.

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing backup policies, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity procedures.

Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change across various departments.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the capability to assess complex processes and recommend effective improvements.

Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks such as ITIL, ISO 27001, COBIT, or equivalent is highly advantageous.

Qualifications:

Certifications in Business Process Management (BPM), ITIL V4 Foundation (or higher), or Project Management (e.g., PMP) are a plus but not essential.
