Overview
A high-profile UK infrastructure programme is seeking an experienced Asset Information Delivery Technician to support the delivery of a programme-wide Asset Information Framework (AIF). This role is essential to ensuring consistent, structured, and high-quality asset information management across the project and Tier 1 supply chain partners.
You will join a central Data and Information Management (D&IM) Team and report directly to the Asset Data Lead. Working alongside a cross-functional team, you will help define, scope, and deliver prioritised components of the AIF, aligned to lifecycle needs and stakeholder engagement outcomes.
This is a delivery-focused role requiring both independent drive and strong collaboration. You will develop practical asset information products that meet programme priorities and stakeholder needs, incorporating best practice, user testing, and technical rigour throughout.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with AIF workstream teams to extract, analyse, and structure key asset data requirements
• Conduct stakeholder engagement, workshops, and research to define business needs and solution requirements
• Prioritise work tasks based on programme milestones and stakeholder input align progress through regular review with the Asset Data Lead
• Map asset information/data flows and review existing technical documentation, specifications, and system outputs
• Manage and manipulate asset data at scale, applying quality criteria and analysis to inform AIF product development
• Develop intelligent asset classes in coordination with engineering and technical experts, informed by asset performance, reliability, and hierarchy principles
• Contribute to the development of core AIF deliverables, including:
o Asset Breakdown Structure (ABS)
o Asset Data Dictionary and Definitions
o Asset Attribute Requirements
o Asset Equipment Catalogue Templates
o Asset Labelling Standards
o Asset Information Supplier Guidance
• Define attribute ownership, authorship, and review responsibilities across systems and structures
• Design data input templates and digital forms to streamline information capture and supplier compliance
• Create supporting documentation such as use cases, FAQs, guidance, and user training materials
• Facilitate user engagement, feedback, and drop-in sessions iterate based on findings
• Document decision making and contribute to a shared knowledge base for future workstream delivery
• Report progress to the D&IM team and support delivery governance and controls

Essential Experience & Skills
• Extensive experience in asset information or asset management within major capital infrastructure or construction programmes
• Strong understanding of infrastructure asset systems (mechanical, electrical, environmental)
• Confident in mapping, auditing, and analysing asset data across various platforms (EDRMS, EAMS, CDE)
• Proficient in managing asset catalogues and defining data requirements for large-scale assets
• Skilled in writing formal documentation and stakeholder-facing communications
• Proven ability to assess asset information quality and lead UAT and change management for information solutions
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Strong time management, organisational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of ISO 55000 and ISO 19650 standards

Desirable Skills
• Experience in the energy, nuclear, or other regulated infrastructure sectors
• Knowledge of warehouse or asset inventory management systems
• Recognised certification or qualification in Asset Management (e.g., IAM, ISO)
• Understanding of civil/environmental asset data
• Experience with EDRMS platforms and SharePoint
• Knowledge of information security and data governance
• French language proficiency is a bonus

All outputs must be user-friendly, tested with real supplier scenarios, maintainable, and compliant with security and business continuity standards.
You will be expected to:
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly progress updates
• Store all documentation on a designated SharePoint environment
• Record all decisions, risks, and assumptions
• Coordinate supplier engagement through authorised channels only
