Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SMBC and is growing rapidly as a Centre of Excellence for the bank's universal banking business across EMEA. It provides a range of technology and operational support services, aligned to SMBC's growth, innovation, and transformation strategies.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Azure/ GCP cloud infrastructure and resources to support our business
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance
  • Working with Information Security, assist in the implementation and management of security best practices, including access control, data encryption and threat detection
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure/ GCP Cloud technologies and industry best practices
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud-based technologies and services
  • Contribute to the improvement of cloud operations and processes

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer in supporting/ setting up Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Cloud implementation including networking, storage and security as well as other concepts such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Experience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out cloud environment for a regulated organisation (e.g. Landing Zones, Enterprise foundations blueprint, network and connectivity options, etc.) would be a strong advantage (not mandatory)
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform (IaC), Docker and Kubernetes (containization technologies) are strong advantages
  • Solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) are strong advantages
  • Experience with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Bash and Python
  • Rights to work in Dublin is a mandatory requirement*
