My leading client is looking for an experienced Technical Data Solution Lead to drive the technical delivery of a multi‑stream data discovery and information security programme. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, data governance, data security tooling, and modern cloud platforms. You will work closely with a small project team to shape, design, and implement the technical approach for a full organisational data discovery initiative.

This is a hands‑on leadership role: you'll set the technical direction, guide solution design, and ensure the successful migration, classification, and protection of data across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and implementation of the organisation's data discovery programme.
Own the configuration, deployment, and optimisation of Microsoft Purview, including classification, scanning, lineage, and governance capabilities.
Provide technical leadership across data security technologies, including DLP, AIP, and cloud security controls.
Oversee technical investigations into data sources, systems, and repositories across the business.
Work closely with the Business Analyst to translate discovery findings into actionable technical plans.
Define and document technical architecture, data flows, and migration pathways.
Lead the technical aspects of migrating data from legacy and bespoke systems into OneDrive, SharePoint, or other standardised platforms.
Ensure all solutions align with security, compliance, and organisational standards.
Support the project team in delivering at pace, removing technical blockers, and ensuring milestones are met.If you are available immediately and this role is of interest please send me your cv for review
