£25,000 basic + 20% shift allowance (OTE circa £30,000)
4 on, 4 off (12-hour rotating day and night shifts)

The Opportunity

VIQU have partnered with a leading SOC organisation for a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to join a growing Security Operations Centre in Doncaster.

The successful candidate will support the monitoring, investigation and response to security incidents, working with modern Microsoft security technologies in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents.
  • Perform incident triage and escalate where appropriate.
  • Support incident response and threat intelligence activities.
  • Work closely with senior analysts during security investigations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of SOC processes and detection capabilities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
  • Ideally around 1–2 years' commercial SOC experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of security monitoring and incident response.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.

Working Pattern

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm during the initial training period.
  • Following training, you'll move onto a 4-on, 4-off rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights (12-hour shifts).
  • Hybrid working, with office attendance required in line with the rota.
