Security Operations Centre (SOC) Manager – SC Cleared
We are seeking a SOC Manager to support the setup and assurance of a Security Operations Centre within a large, multi-supplier government programme. The SOC itself will be operated by other suppliers, but this role plays a key part in overseeing its mobilisation, integration, and ongoing effectiveness from a delivery assurance perspective.
Key Responsibilities

Support the design, mobilisation, and integration of SOC capabilities into the wider programme.
Oversee supplier-led SOC operations to ensure alignment with security architecture, contractual obligations, and government standards.
Lead on security incident coordination, threat intelligence integration, and reporting processes.
Act as a central point for operational security matters, liaising with internal teams and external partners.
Contribute to continuous improvement of operational security controls, tooling, and service delivery.Essential Skills

Proven experience in SOC or cyber operations management in complex or regulated environments.
Strong understanding of SIEM tools, incident handling, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management.
Knowledge of UK government or NCSC security standards (e.g. ISO27001, NIST).
SC clearance.Desirable

Experience supporting SOC setup or transition.
Familiarity with cloud security and hybrid infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Azure).
Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, SC-200, ISO27001, GIAC
