Production Operative

Margate

Salary - £12.21 per hour

Temporary to permanent

Nights, Sunday – Tuesday 7:00pm-5:00am and Wednesday’s 7:30pm – 5:00am

Our client a food manufacturer, is looking to recruit Production Operatives on a temporary to permanent basis.

Duties and responsibilities for the role of Production Operative

  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, ensuring consistency in food preparation

  • Operate and monitor machinery such as mixers, ovens, and conveyor belts to ensure they are functioning correctly

  • Manually or using machines to shape products into specified forms

  • Load the products into ovens and monitor cooking times and temperatures, ensuring products are cooked to perfection

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards in terms of size, shape, and appearance

  • Clean equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene standards and perform basic maintenance on machinery

    Person specification for the role of Production Operative

  • You will have experience in a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment (ideally in a food production environment)

  • You will have good attention to detail

  • Able to follow strict health and safety procedures

  • Able to work as part of a team

  • Able to hit production targets in a fast-paced environment
