We're working with a leading client in the development of high-speed, zero-emission vessels and propulsion systems, and they're now looking to welcome a Principal Systems Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in Systems Engineering to play a key role in ensuring new products meet rigorous performance, safety, and quality standards.
 
The Principal Systems Engineer will:

Champion the development and maintenance of core systems engineering processes and capabilities across the organisation.
Manage and engage with Systems Models, ensuring consistent generation, control, and linkage of systems artifacts across multiple projects.
Collaborate with technical experts to deliver architectural designs for Energy Solution products that meet complex stakeholder needs.
Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies where beneficial to the business.
Create and maintain traceable systems documentation, including User, Product, and System Requirements Specifications.
Lead and coordinate system requirement analysis activities such as Use Case analysis, functional analysis, and safety and robustness evaluations.  
The Principal Systems Engineer will:

A BSc or BEng in a relevant engineering field (e.g. Electrical, Electronic, Control, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering).
5+ years of experience in Systems or Control Engineering, ideally within electrification or e-mobility technologies.
Deep technical expertise in electrification systems, especially Lithium-Ion Batteries, Battery Management Systems, and EV Charging Systems.
Familiarity with structured development frameworks like INCOSE or ASPICE.
Experience applying Functional Safety and/or Cybersecurity principles.
Strong report writing skills with a clear, concise, and organised approach.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
