Design the networks that power critical infrastructure. At Morson Praxis, we’re the technical consultancy that actually delivers what it designs, supporting complex engineering environments where secure, resilient and high-performing operational technology (OT) networks are essential.

From energy and infrastructure to industrial and manufacturing systems, our teams deliver solutions that keep critical operations running safely and efficiently. We’re now looking for an experienced OT Network Engineer to design, implement and support secure industrial network environments across a range of high-impact projects.

If you’re passionate about network architecture, cyber resilience and working at the intersection of IT and OT, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for an OT Network Engineer to support the design and delivery of secure industrial network solutions. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping deliver robust and compliant network architectures across critical infrastructure environments.

Who We Are

At Morson Praxis, we combine engineering expertise with digital and systems capability to deliver solutions across energy, infrastructure, defence and advanced manufacturing.

As part of the wider Morson Group, we bring together specialist technical capability with the scale and reach of one of the UK’s leading technical organisations. Our teams work on complex, safety-critical environments where performance, security and reliability are paramount.

You’ll join a collaborative environment where innovation, technical excellence and continuous improvement are at the core of what we do.

What You’ll Do

As an OT Network Engineer, you will design, implement and support industrial network environments, including:

* Designing, implementing and maintaining OT network architectures

* Configuring and managing Layer 2 / Layer 3 networks (VLANs, routing, trunking)

* Deploying and supporting industrial networking hardware (Cisco IE, Siemens Scalance, Schneider Electric switches)

* Diagnosing and resolving network performance, stability and resilience issues

* Configuring, managing and troubleshooting firewalls (Cisco ASA, Siemens Scalance, pfSense)

* Implementing network segmentation aligned with NIST frameworks and Purdue Model principles

* Deploying and managing secure remote access solutions (e.g. Siemens Sinema RC)

* Designing and implementing DMZ architectures between IT and OT environments

* Deploying and managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)

* Managing system resources within virtualised infrastructure

* Configuring and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, trusts)

* Performing system monitoring, maintenance and security patching

* Maintaining accurate documentation, network diagrams and configuration baselines

* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure secure, reliable operation of critical systems

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in OT, industrial networking or critical infrastructure environments

* Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking principles

* Experience with industrial networking hardware (Cisco, Siemens, Schneider Electric or similar)

* Knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles, including network segmentation and Purdue Model

* Experience with firewall configuration and network security

* Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising cyber security jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

As organisations across the UK continue to digitise their operations, protect sensitive data, and defend against increasingly sophisticated threats, the need for ethical hackers has grown dramatically. If you are considering a career in this field—or looking to advance within it—it is essential to understand what employers are really looking for in 2026. This guide breaks down the current expectations, required skills, certifications, and practical experience that can help you stand out in a competitive job market.
