We have a fantastic opportunity to join our IT team as a Mobile Network Engineer, on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, combining visits to our 23 campuses across the UK, home working, and 1 day per week in the office at our Regional Support Office in Warwick. Please note, our Regional Support Office will be relocating to a new site in Coventry (Bedworth) in September 2026.

This is a hands-on role forming part of our internal Infrastructure team, responsible for the support, maintenance, and continual improvement of network and infrastructure services across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring network availability, performance, and security, while supporting both BAU operations and project-based work across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support, maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and cloud-based network infrastructure across multiple campuses
  • Carry out scheduled site visits to provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Install, configure and maintain network equipment including switches, firewalls, wireless access points and network appliances
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and implement improvements
  • Investigate and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and infrastructure incidents
  • Conduct network health checks, site audits, and infrastructure assessments
  • Support Audio Visual (AV) and collaboration technologies including meeting room and video conferencing systems
  • Assist with IT equipment deployments, office moves, and campus expansions
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and asset inventories
  • Liaise with third-party vendors to support network installations and issue resolution
  • Ensure regular patching and maintenance of network infrastructure
  • Work collaboratively with the wider IT team, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing
We offer:
  • A competitive salary
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
  • Workplace pension scheme and Staff Referral scheme
  • Supportive staff and an involved community committed to continuous improvement
  • Modern, well-equipped office and campus environments
  • A collaborative IT team with opportunities for ongoing professional development
You will:
  • Have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and NAT
  • Have experience working with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
  • Have knowledge of LAN, WAN and cloud networking environments
  • Be confident troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
  • Have an understanding of network security principles and best practice
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, adaptable approach
  • Be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have experience within an IT support or network-focused role (2+ years desirable)
  • Have experience with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti or Cambium networks (desirable)
