We’re working with a well-respected and long-established M&E contractor who have secured a major commercial new build project and are now looking to appoint a Mechanical Supervisor on a long-term freelance basis.

This contractor is known for delivering complex, high-spec projects to a consistently high standard across the commercial, education, healthcare, and residential sectors. You’ll be joining a professional and well-structured team with a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to see the full lifecycle of a flagship development.

The Role:

Oversee mechanical installation works including HVAC, plant rooms, and pipework

Manage subcontractors and direct labour on-site

*

Ensure health & safety compliance and enforce safe systems of work

*

Coordinate with the Project Manager and other trades to ensure works remain on schedule

*

Carry out inspections, quality control, and sign-off of completed works

*

Attend progress meetings and maintain clear communication across the team

Requirements:

*

Proven experience supervising mechanical packages on large commercial sites

*

SMSTS or SSSTS (required)

*

Valid CSCS card

*

Confident reading and interpreting mechanical drawings

*

Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
