IT Security Manager

Hyde is looking for an IT Security Manager to join our collaborative and values-driven team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a supportive environment that champions employee wellbeing, continuous learning, and long-term development.

As an IT Security Manager at Hyde, you will manage IT security risks across the Hyde Housing Group, helping to protect our systems, data and services. Working with senior stakeholders, you will design, develop, test and monitor IT security and continuity policies to ensure they are implemented effectively and remain compliant across the Group.

Key Duties

  • Security Governance & Assurance – Define and govern security requirements across architecture, projects, suppliers, and change initiatives, ensuring security is embedded in solution design, risk management, and decision-making processes.
  • Risk, Vulnerability & Compliance Management – Lead vulnerability management, third-party security assurance, policy governance, and compliance activities aligned with Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST CSF 2.0, and organisational risk appetite.
  • Incident Response & Threat Management – Coordinate major cyber incident response, act as a senior escalation point, and maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats through intelligence sharing and sector partnerships.
  • Secure Technology & Service Delivery – Provide oversight of application, infrastructure, and change security, ensuring risks are assessed and appropriate controls are implemented throughout the technology lifecycle.
  • Security Awareness & Continuous Improvement – Lead cyber awareness and behavioural change programmes, leveraging threat intelligence, user insights, and incident trends to strengthen security culture and continuously enhance organisational resilience.
