The Role

As Cyber Security Engineer, you will take ownership of security across networks, systems and cloud environments, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats.

You will work closely with IT and operational teams to embed secure practices and respond effectively to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

-Monitor systems and networks for security threats and vulnerabilities

-Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches

-Implement and maintain security tools, controls and policies

-Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activity

-Support compliance with relevant standards and frameworks

-Work with internal teams to improve cyber awareness and best practice

-Contribute to ongoing improvements in security architecture and resilience

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

-Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Analyst or similar role

-Strong understanding of network security, firewalls and intrusion detection systems

-Experience with security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection or vulnerability scanning

-Knowledge of cloud security principles across platforms such as Azure or AWS

-Understanding of cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials

-Ability to investigate incidents and communicate findings clearly
