Site Operative Solutions Limited have an excellent opportunity for IT Manager in St Albans. 

For this role, It Manager would be undertaking the following duties:

IT Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute the company’s IT roadmap aligned with business goals

Identify opportunities for digital transformation across construction workflows

Work with the Board and Process Manager to create and maintain IT Policies for the business                 

Infrastructure & Systems Management

Oversee network architecture, hardware, software and cloud services

Ensure reliable connectivity and data access across remote sites and Head Office

Manage Printers and Printing Solutions

Manage IP Telephony system at Head Office

Manage mobile device deployment and rugged tech solutions for field teams

Manage data backup and Disaster Recovery solutions

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive project data

Liaise with our chosen partner to ensure compliance, so that our annual Cyber Essentials Certification is granted

Ensure compliance with GDPR and industry-specific regulations

Project Support & Integration

Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate pre-construction and construction management software (e.g., Deltek PIM, Adobe Suite, InDesign, BlueBeam, Autodesk, Asta PowerProject)

Support Deltek PIM (Project Information Management) A cloud-based solution that centralises and manages project-related documents, emails and drawings

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

Lead and mentor our IT Support Engineer

Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors and service providers

Troubleshooting & Support

Provide proactive hands-on support and training to staff across the business

Resolve technical issues swiftly to minimise downtime on-site and in-office

Escalate to third party providers when necessary

All IT Manager on this project must have:

A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent in a related field

Proven experience in IT management and support, within construction or engineering sectors

An understanding of construction-specific software and mobile technology

In depth Knowledge of Microsoft and Dell softwares 

Construction specific software solutions (eg. Deltek PIM, InDesign, Asta PowerProject, AutoDesk etc.).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID)

Experience with remote site connectivity and rugged hardware solutions.

Rates & Shift pattern:

£60,000 Per Annum
