About the Company

Our client is an established Managed Service Provider supporting organisations across the UK with technology, cloud, infrastructure and security solutions.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an IT Field Engineer to join their technical team, providing a mix of on-site customer support, project delivery and remote technical assistance across a diverse client portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a broad range of technologies while developing their infrastructure and cloud expertise within a fast-paced MSP environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering technical support both on-site and remotely, helping customers maintain secure, reliable and high-performing IT environments.

The role combines field engineering, project work and service desk support, offering exposure to a wide range of technologies and customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting across customer locations
* Support infrastructure deployments, upgrades and technology migrations
* Assist with project delivery, including new site installations and office moves
* Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support across server, network and desktop environments
* Support Microsoft 365 and Azure-based solutions
* Troubleshoot networking, connectivity and security-related issues
* Escalate and resolve complex technical incidents with senior engineers
* Maintain accurate documentation and update service tickets
* Support the service desk team when not attending customer sites
* Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 2 years' experience within an IT Support, Infrastructure or Field Engineering role
* Previous experience working within an MSP environment
* Strong customer-facing communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Technical Knowledge
Experience with some or all the following:

* Microsoft 365
* Microsoft Azure
* Windows Server
* Windows 10 / 11
* Active Directory & Group Policy
* VMware and/or Hyper-V
* Microsoft Exchange
* Networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wireless, VPNs)
* Firewall technologies
* Veeam Backup
* Cyber Security best practices
* Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
