We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team in Milan. This role is critical in driving security operations across Europe, ensuring robust protection of systems, applications, and infrastructure.

You will work closely with InfoSec, IT, application teams, and international stakeholders, coordinating remediation efforts and strengthening the organization's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage security activities assigned by the Information Security department

Coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts across Europe, collaborating with local country support teams

Address vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and Qualys scans

Manage operating system lifecycle and obsolescence, ensuring compliance with security standards

Investigate and respond to security incidents detected by endpoint and monitoring tools

Drive and implement security improvement initiatives, including:

Firewalls and network security enhancements

Authentication mechanisms

Network segmentation strategies

Support the organization in achieving and maintaining required InfoSec compliance levels

Collaborate closely with UPS IT teams, InfoSec, application owners, and occasionally external customers Application & System Scope

You will provide maintenance and security oversight for the following applications:

Ship WS

ECIS Ship

XOLT Gen WS / XOLT ECIS Gen

XOLT Track WS / XOLT ECIS Track

Tradeability

AV Rest / AVSDK

Import Gateway

Enhanced Monitoring (XMON)

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of network security (firewalls, TCP/IP)

Experience with cloud security

Hands-on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability management

Familiarity with SIEM and EDR tools

Understanding of cryptography principles

Solid experience in OS administration (Windows & Linux) Professional Skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and proactively

Comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams

Strong stakeholder engagement skills Tools

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of relevant Information Security experience

Mandatory fluency in Italian and English

Must be able to work on-site in Milan, Italy
