Location: Warton (On-site)
Rate: £770 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 12 months rolling

MOD DV Security Clearence is required for this role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant with current MOD DV clearance to support a high-profile UK defence programme based on-site in Warton. The role will provide specialist information security and assurance expertise within a highly classified environment, ensuring systems, processes, and data are compliant with MOD security standards. This is a long-term contract opportunity operating inside IR35, with on-site attendance required due to the sensitivity of the work.

Key Responsibilities

Provide information security and assurance advice across defence systems and programmes
Support security risk assessments, threat modelling, and mitigation planning
Ensure compliance with MOD security policies and frameworks including JSP 440, JSP 604, ISO 27001, NIST
Contribute to accreditation and assurance activities, including security documentation and evidence packs
Review system designs, architectures, and operational processes from an information security perspective
Work closely with security architects, project managers, engineers, and MOD stakeholders
Support audits, reviews, and security governance forums
Produce and maintain clear, concise security documentation and reports

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant within MOD or defence environments
Current MOD DV clearance (mandatory - no sponsorship available)
Strong knowledge of information assurance, governance, and risk management
Experience working in highly regulated, classified environments
Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong written documentation and communication skills
