Information Governance Analyst

Brussels | Hybrid Working (3 Days in Office)

A leading international law firm is seeking anInformation Governance Analyst to join its Information Governance team in Brussels.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Information Governance, Records Management, eDiscovery or Legal Operations professional looking to broaden their experience within a sophisticated legal environment. Working closely with the Information Governance Manager, you will play a key role in managing and protecting firm and client information, supporting compliance initiatives, and helping to improve information governance processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the firm's Information Governance function.
  • Manage the onboarding, transfer and offboarding of client and matter-related records and data.
  • Administer and monitor Information Governance processes to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and client requirements.
  • Assist with data migration, matter mobility and information lifecycle management projects.
  • Maintain the integrity, security and classification of electronic records and information assets.
  • Respond to Information Governance requests and support end users across the business.
  • Assist with legal hold processes and records retention initiatives.
  • Support process improvement projects, reporting and root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of Information Governance policies, procedures and training materials.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Information Governance, Records Management, Data Governance, Legal Operations, eDiscovery or as a Litigation Paralegal.
  • Previous experience within a law firm, professional services environment or legal information services provider is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with document management systems such as iManage or NetDocuments.
  • Exposure to records management, data migration, metadata management and information lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations, including GDPR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview would be advantageous.
