NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an HMI Engineer for our client, who are a global, industry-leader in power technology.

HMI Engineer 
Location: Lincoln
Duration: 6-month initial contract (long-term work)

We’re currently looking to add a Senior engineer/technician to our team based in Lincoln. Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for the build, development, and support of industrial Human Machine Interface systems (hardware + software) for the modernisation and upgrade of small gas turbines.

Key responsibilities:
Install, configure, and test standardised HMI builds on Windows endpoints, Servers, and Clients. Including engineering software such as:
AVEVA Intouch
FactoryTalk Optix
Simatic PCS7
WinCCand Cybersecurity software / measures:

Windows hardening
Endpoint security
Whitelisting
Secure backups
Configure, develop, and test networking components such as industrial firewalls, and managed switches.
Develop and maintain work instruction documentation for build configurations.
Create and maintain information database(s).
Collaborate and support the Project Execution team to enhance quality and on-time delivery.
Identify and rectify problems found during testing of software/hardware and support the Field Service team during commissioning of equipment/software. Qualifications:
Degree qualified or equivalent professional accreditation or recognition in an engineering discipline preferably relating to the fields of Computer Science, Control Systems, CybersecurityPreferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience working with industrial controls system applications such as:
Rockwell/Allen Bradley Control Logix
Siemens PCS7 Control Systems
AVEVA Intouch
Factory Talk Optix
Familiarity with industrial networks and cyber security standards, frameworks, and regulations
IEC-62443
NCSC CAF
EU Cyber Resilience Act
Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
