Head of Sales and Marketing

Main responsibilities for the Head of Sales and Marketing:

As Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across membership, partnerships, and sponsorship. You will bring together sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and commercial partnerships into a single, aligned growth function, ensuring the business achieves its strategic objectives. You will lead a high-performing team, including a Business Development Manager and a Marketing Executive, while also managing relationships with external marketing agencies and partner companies. In this role, you will set clear priorities, drive performance, and ensure consistent delivery against ambitious growth targets.

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, partner events, and networking functions, including speaking engagements and thought leadership presentations.

  • Own and drive the end-to-end sales function, membership acquisition, marketing strategy, and commercial partnerships to deliver sustainable business growth.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including a Business Development Manager, Marketing Executive, and external agencies, fostering accountability and collaboration.

  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and pipeline benchmarks, managing performance reviews, forecasting, and deal progression to maximise conversion and revenue.

  • Define and execute marketing strategy, brand positioning, messaging, and campaigns to support sales objectives and strengthen market differentiation.

  • Align all marketing activity with the sales pipeline, membership targets, event campaigns, and commercial objectives to ensure measurable impact.

  • Own sponsorship and commercial partnership strategy, including packaging, pricing, negotiations, contract close, and partner engagement.

  • Represent the organisation externally at industry events, conferences, and partner gatherings, building relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

  • Manage the marketing and commercial growth budgets, track KPIs, and ensure ROI-driven decision-making across all initiatives.

  • Oversee PR, corporate communications, content strategy, and sales enablement to enhance visibility and drive engagement.

  • Ensure clarity and alignment between sales strategy, marketing strategy, and execution, providing leadership insight to the executive team.

    Main Requirements for the Head of Sales and Marketing:

  • Proven senior sales and marketing leadership experience in IT, MSP, SaaS, or technology sectors.

  • Track record of driving revenue growth and executing successful sales strategies.

  • Strong background in B2B sales, revenue growth, and pipeline management

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales and marketing teams.

  • Hands-on experience managing full sales cycles and multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Strong commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public-speaking abilities.

  • Knowledge of MSP/IT solutions such as managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, and backup/DR.

  • Ability to analyse market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to shape strategy.

  • Adaptable, and capable of working across sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams.

  • Resilient, results-driven, and passionate about technology and innovation.

    What we offer in return to the successful Head of Sales and Marketing :

  • Monday to Friday- remote role

  • Salary £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
