Head Of IT

Head of IT | £70,000-£87,000 | Permanent | Remote (UK)

Our client is looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead the technology function of a national professional body representing tens of thousands of registered professionals.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services and Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for technology strategy, cyber security, ICT operations, service delivery and digital transformation, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape the organisation's technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the organisation's technology strategy, architecture and roadmap.

• Lead cyber security, technology risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Oversee ICT operations and service delivery, ensuring reliable, secure and effective services.

• Provide technical leadership across organisation-wide technology and digital transformation projects.

• Establish governance for the responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies.

• Lead and develop two direct reports, with indirect leadership of a wider team of seven.

• Manage ICT budgets, procurement, supplier relationships and commercial performance.

• Advise senior leadership and governance committees on technology risks, investment and strategic priorities.

• Ensure technology systems and services remain secure, resilient, integrated and fit for purpose.

Required Experience:

• Experience leading an IT or technology function at a senior level.

• Strong understanding of technology strategy, architecture and roadmap development.

• Experience overseeing cyber security, technology risk and resilience.

• Background in ICT operations, service delivery and technical transformation.

• Experience managing teams, developing people and working with senior stakeholders.

• Experience managing technology budgets, suppliers, contracts and procurement.

• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and support strategic decision-making.
