At our Airbus Defence and Space site in Corsham, we are seeking a highly credentialed Ground System Security Design Engineer to provide end-to-end protection for our critical Spacecraft Control Centre Systems and Satellite Communications infrastructures.
Reporting to the Head of SCOF Engineering you will play a pivotal role in managing high-stakes security architecture and ensuring our defenses remain ahead of evolving threats.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
As a key player in our security infrastructure, you will take ownership of complex risks and coordinate comprehensive defense strategies. In this role, you will:
Provide end-to-end support to projects with regards to cyber security.
Analyze functional needs, establish associated criticality levels, propose appropriate security protection concepts, and project and manage risks for the project.
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of standards, regulation, governance, and best practices across specified disciplines.
Manage end-to-end projects, tasks, and deliverables in accordance with Airbus Business Processes.
Ensure the activity of all actors and disciplines is coordinated and fits together in the overall security architecture.
Leverage your knowledge and understanding of Spacecraft Control Centre Systems to ensure robust protection.
Apply your knowledge of Satellite Communications infrastructures to secure critical data streams.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a highly secure environment and possesses a deep understanding of complex operating systems and network infrastructures. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
CISSP Accreditation
CISM Accreditation
Proven experience working within a Secure environment
Demonstrable knowledge of Solaris, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems
Strong knowledge of Cisco infrastructures
Working knowledge of JSP440
