Overview

An organisation operating in complex, secure environments is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive enterprise-wide architecture strategy across multiple programmes and domains.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise architecture development and governance across programmes

Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and frameworks aligned to business strategy

Shape architecture strategy for a major Line of Business

Provide technical leadership across cloud, infrastructure, data, applications, and security

Chair design reviews and ensure alignment with strategic and security objectives

Drive innovation, research, and capability development

Represent the organisation at senior external forums

Mentor and develop the internal architecture community

Requirements

Proven experience leading enterprise architecture in large, complex environments (Essential)

Strong background in defence/aerospace programmes within secure or government contexts (Essential)

Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, MODAF, ArchiMate) (Essential)

Deep understanding of secure-by-design principles and cybersecurity (Essential)

Experience in architectural governance, design assurance, and cross-domain delivery

Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills

Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, cloud architect, CISSP)

Experience contributing to industry standards or thought leadership

Exposure to international or regulatory environments

This opportunity is operating inside of IR35.
