You'll take ownership of a business-critical enterprise data platform, working at the intersection of Data Engineering, Platform Engineering and Cloud Technology while helping shape the future of the firm's data strategy.

This role offers the chance to join a highly collaborative team and influence the direction of a strategic enterprise platform.

• Own and oversee a modern enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Azure technologies
• Act as the technical lead for platform architecture, scalability, governance and operational excellence
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture and Engineering teams to support business-critical services
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency
• Drive best practice across CI/CD, automation, monitoring and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Support production environments, incident management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Help enable Data Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently by removing technical barriers
• Influence platform strategy and evaluate new technologies across Data and AI initiatives

• Experience within Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a related technical field
• Strong Azure experience within enterprise environments
• Experience supporting and operating cloud-based data platforms
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
• Strong understanding of data platform architecture, scalability and governance
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with Terraform, Python and platform automation tools is advantageous
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working within regulated environments would be beneficial

• £73,000 - £84,000 base salary
