Cybersecurity Consultant–Belfast – Contract (6m) – Outside IR– Up to £400pd

This is the perfect opportunity for both experienced contractors and anyone interested in entering the IT Contracts market. You will be joining a team within an established global player in the smart buildings and IOT space. You will analyse existing security procedures and processes, create documentation and work with the business to improve how they monitor and detect threats.

The ideal person will have a strong background in Cybersecurity and have a solid track record of working on a wide range of CyberSec projects. You will have a passion for all things CyberSec and a drive to develop your abilities through self-study and certifications.

What do you need as a Cybersecurity Consultant?

  • Technical Knowledge of anti-virus, networking, application security (Vericode), vulnerability management, encryption, Microsoft technologies, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of Information Security standards, legislation, and practices, including GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Experience in dealing with a wide range of Information Security matters and operating in an ITIL-based environment. Strong problem-solving ability, with the flexibility to think creatively and adapt to and implement rapidly changing systems and services.
  • Incident management experience and an ability to quickly tailor responses to deal with fast-moving situations.
