Location: Castleford (WF10)
Pay Rate: £12.61 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, temp-to-perm contract - subject to successful probation
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
 
About the Company
 
Our client is responsible for the electricity distribution network supplying electricity to 8 million customers in 3.9 million homes and businesses across the Northeast, Yorkshire, and Northern Lincolnshire.
 
The Role
 
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Claims Administrator to join our client’s team. This role involves providing vital administrative support to the Network Damage Claims department, assisting with the processing of claims related to damage affecting both our client’s and third-party utility networks.
 
Key Responsibilities

Inputting claims data accurately into the internal database
Setting up new damage claims
Requesting and processing invoices
Reviewing documentation and associated costs
Raising queries and following up on missing information
Carrying out daily audit checks
Managing a shared team mailbox
Responding to general queries and supporting with day-to-day admin tasks
 
Skills and Experience
 
Essential:
5 GCSEs (grades A–C), including Maths and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good attention to detail
Previous experience working in a team environment
Experience in a customer service or administrative role
 
Desirable:
A Levels or relevant qualifications in business, claims or insurance
Previous experience in claims handling, insurance, or legal administration
