One of the most exciting prospects in the UK cyber security sector today, Bridewell is a leading cyber security services company specialising in protecting and transforming critical business functions for some of the world’s most trusted organisations. We are the trusted partner for operators of essential services and provide end-to-end cyber security capabilities that help our clients overcome their security challenges, allowing them to operate safely and securely.

Bridewell holds the Gold level, Investors in People award which we feel solidifies and reflects on the outstanding calibre that makes us truly one team.

The Opportunity

By integrating Bridewell's Managed Security Services with focused training in all areas of Security Operations, the Bridewell Academy equips candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's cyber security landscape. This holistic approach not only enhances academic offerings but also prepares candidates for successful careers in this critical field, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle evolving cyber threats.

In the first three months of the Bridewell Academy, you will undergo comprehensive onboarding, where you’ll meet your manager and assigned buddy, who will guide you through the initial stages of your journey. During this time, you’ll gain exposure to our Security and Compliance team, allowing you to familiarise yourself and gain a better understanding of Cyber Security.

Following this, you'll enter a six-month period primarily focused on shadowing and gaining exposure to clients. During this time, a dedicated line manager will support you, assisting with networking, relationship-building, and increasing your visibility within the business. By the 6 to 18-month mark, your training will have taken root, allowing you to work full-time on client-based projects. You will have accumulated enough experience to confidently pursue relevant course.

What you'll be doing:

  • Shadowing IT staff to gain an understanding of internal IT estate.
  • Building and setting up new and replacement machines for staff.
  • Organising IT assets and inventory.
  • Responding to IT helpdesk incidents.
  • Assisting with policy creation and updates.
